Well, now I’m in the Czech Republic, but getting here was no easy task. *sigh* Man, oh man. If you ever travel to Prague by train DO NOT EVER switch trains in Czech Republic. Our train coming from Germany was delayed so we missed our connecting train going to Plzen. Instead of getting to Prague at 7:30 pm, we got here at midnight. After our train was late, we had to wait on the Germany side of the border for 3 hours. Then just when we thought we were going to get on a train on the Czech side of the station, a Czech railroad conductor told us in broken english, “No train…bus”.

Well, I’ve managed to survive another day at Oktoberfest. This time Jeff and I started a little earlier and got there around 2pm. We decided to go to the Paulaner tent. After 4 liters of beer and 7 hours later, I found myself talking about German politics with a german named Billy. Turns out his grandparents were saved by an American soldier named Billy in WWII and in gratitude they named their son after him. His grandfather made his father name his first born Billy as well. Pretty cool story.
I got some good pictures this time, but you’ll have to wait a little longer for those. I’m still having problems with connecting from the room. Fortunately, there is this internet cafe a couple blocks from the hotel.
Today, we are going to try and check out a brewery here in town and then head back for more Oktoberfest. Tomorrow, we head to Prague, but we still haven’t decided.
Well, time to stop wasting time on the internet and back to the beer. =)
Prost!

Well, I made to Germany safe and sound. The plane trip was long but uneventful. BTW, is there anyway they can make couch class more uncomfortable, but I digress.
After we arrived in Frankfurt, Jeff and I rented an Audi A8 and went to Ingolstadt to see the Audi factory. They had some pretty cool displays but nothing too exciting. Jeff, however, was way too excited…freak.
After that we headed to Munich do see if they had any beer left and to our suprise they did. The current consumption count is 2.5 liters so far. That was in just two hours. Kids don’t try this at home.
Today, we have no plans so you’ll just have to wait for the next update.
BTW, having some issues dialing in from the room so pictures might have to wait until I get back.
Oh and don’t plug a 120V AC adapter into a 240V plug. It makes the room smell like burnt electronics…

Well, life right now is getting pretty hectic, but I can’t say that’s a bad thing. Last couple weeks have been busy at work. The Emmys were on Sunday, I was down at the red carpet setting up equipment for the Live Rank meter. While I was down there I managed to take some cool pics of the what it likes like behind the scenes. I still need to add captions, but I don’t really have time for that right now. That’s because tomorrow I leave for Germany! Yes, I’m heading to Oktoberfest again. I had such a great time last year, I had to go again. So be prepared for some new pictures in the photo gallery.
Well, it’s time to get back to preparing for the trip. Auf wiedersehen!
