Study finds blogging still infrequent…

There was a study conducted on the frequency of blog updates and only 10 percent do it daily. Guess this means I’m normal. =)

It’s a beautiful Saturday and I’m working…

I’ve been working all day and I feel like taking a break so I thought the second blog entry of the year might be in order. =) Not much is going on in my life right now. About the most exciting thing is my upcoming trip to New York City for my birthday (St. Patrick’s Day for those who don’t know me). It should be a great trip especially considering the day. St. Patrick’s Day in NYC should be good for a couple stories. After NYC, I’ll have to try and make it to Chicago and watch them dye the river green (if they can die the river green on St. Patrick’s Day, why can’t they dye it blue the rest of the year). Also, this is the final birthday of my twenties. So begins the victory lap to 30. I figure the whole year should be a celebration of the fact that I’ve made it this far.

Most people seem to get upset at the idea of turning 30. I’m not. I’m actually excited about. There’s a certain amount of maturity that seems to come with the fact that you’ve been alive for three decades. It is interesting how people who are over 30 seem to look down at twenty year olds with a certain amount of disdain. I’m not sure I believe in some magic wisdom being bestowed on me on my 30th birthday. However, I can’t argue with my mom when she says, "You don’t have a lick of sense until your 28 years old". I’m 28 now and I’m still not sure I have a lick of sense, but maybe that’s the point. Is part of having wisdom knowing that you don’t know anything? Ironic…

Well, it’s time to get back to the coal mines. Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful Southern Californian day and not spending it in a air-conditioned warehouse with no windows. ;-)
