I’ve made a couple changes to the site but you shouldn’t be able to notice what they are.
- I’ve moved hosting providers. I used to have my own linux co-located in a secret datacenter somewhere in LA. However, my free-loading days are over and I had to move to hosting provider. I’d tell you which one but I want to see how good they are before I start plugging them.
- I’ve migrated the blog from MovableType to Wordpress. So far, I’m impressed with Wordpress. I’m not much of a blogger but it’s got a lot of features I find useful.
- I’ve moved my mail to Google Apps. It allows me to use the Gmail interface for my mail and get Google’s SPAM protection. So far, so good.
Hopefully none of these changes you will actually notice, because if you do then I didn’t do my job very well.
We’ve got the wedding website up, so check it out at http://www.kevinandkelly.net.
Well, I’ve been slacking on the picture uploads so I finally got around to uploading them all. They go back as far as 6/5 so be sure and check them out. As far as captions go, Kelly and I are going to go through and add as many as we can this weekend.

Well, I’ve encountered my first problem with moving to MovableType, comment spam. It turns out that there are people out there who use MovableType sites to post links to various sites in the comments section. In just the past couple days I’ve received 6 comment submissions with links to poker and viagra sites. To help stop this from happening on my site, I have added a blacklist function to keep the spammers out, so hopefully this will solve the problem. If you ever get blocked from adding a comment, let me know.

After three years of using PostNuke, I’ve decided to toss it and start using MovableType. The photo gallery is still here and all my old blog entries have been imported over. The only things that’s been lost is the member list. The only membership on the site now is for the photo gallery and you only need that if you want access to special albums. You can self-register, if you want, on the photo gallery page.
Comments and suggestions are always welcome…
